The RACGP will field test the new material in the draft 4th edition of the RACGP Standards for general practices in conjunction with the accreditation agencies. The field test aims to check whether the new material is acceptable, feasible, achievable and applicable to general practices and whether the new material is easy for surveyors to use in the survey visit. The field test will be conducted between May and August and involve practices who are being surveyed for accreditation against the Standards for general practices (revised 3rd edition). Participation in the field trial in no way affects accreditation and practices will not receive accreditation against the draft 4th edition. The field test comprises participation in an education session hosted by the RACGP, a field test survey visit conducted by the accreditation agency and an online practice questionnaire, which will take about 20 minutes to complete. The college encourages practices that have accreditation survey visits scheduled between May and August this year to register interest with your accreditation agency. Even if you are not due for a survey visit this year, you can still provide feedback on the draft 4th edition of the standards by completing the online survey available at www.racgp.org.au/standards or by emailing standards@racgp.org.au.
M5 encourages men and those who care about them to recognise the importance of men forming an ongoing relationship with a GP.
