The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners

28 May 2010 GP10 – registrations now open

The College is gearing up for GP10 – the RACGP and Australian Association of Practice Managers (AAPM) combined annual conference. This year the conference will be held in Cairns, North Queensland from 6–9 October at the Cairns Convention Centre. The RACGP National Rural Faculty is convening GP10 – Shape Our Future – in partnership with AAPM.

The themes for this year’s conference are wide ranging and include indigenous health, e-health, sports medicine, rural health, health promotion, the business of medicine, and practical tips for students and registrars. We also have a number of exciting speakers lined up to attend, including Professor Barbara Starfield, Professor John Murtagh, Professor Michael Kidd and AAPM CEO Dean Barton-Smith.

GP10 will be a great opportunity to hear from a number of expert GPs and others in the field, build on your professional networks, and enjoy exploring new approaches to caring for your patients. I look forward to meeting many of you and sharing our ideas for the future of the profession.

Registrations for GP10 opened this week, and a number of early bird discounts are available for those who get in quickly. For more information or to register to attend the conference, visit www.gp10.com.au/registration.asp.
