20 November 2009 GPs’ work reaps research rewards

Congratulations to those GPs whose initiative has been rewarded with research grants from the National Health and Medical Research Council. They are among health professionals who have received a total of $508 million in research funding. The diversity of GPs’ expertise is reflected in the range of research which investigates, to name but a few areas, depression, complementary health, sensory impairment, chronic disease and the health gap between the indigenous and nonindigenous population.
